After an awesome three months break, i was forced back to reality, Food Product Development 2, continued from the previous semester ages ago. During the first lesson, my lecturer, Dr Chong briefed us about the course layout, giving us idea about what will we be doing this semester for her subject. After that, we were given a task, which requires us to form our very own organisation chart, our company's name, and of course, our product's name. After a round of discussion, my group came to a final decision where Lee Boon Wah will be our director. Elyza Wong as our food safety manager, Jarrell Lim as our marketing manager, Suhaila as food product development manager and i hold the post as a R&D manager. With each and everyone in the group assigned to a post, our final year project's workload are divided equally as well.
Besides that, we also have a several discussion on the preparation for the following week's product test out. During last semester, all we did was just on the paper. This final semester, we get to put all out paper work into practise. We discussed about the gold standard formula, which we need to test out on the following class. Also, we drawn out a process flow diagram so that our product test out can be done smoothly. Most importantly, we did a simple sensorial test survey form for out product testing. A food product needs to be well acceptable by the consumer, or else it won't sell in the market.
After everything is done, each of the groups were required to present their organisation chart and their products. With all that done, Dr Chong called it a day as our tasks are done for that lesson.
